a little fairy tale

Once upon a time lived a little pretty girl. She lived in a little glass house. Even though, the house was beautiful and safe, she wanted to get out. She was not unhappy, she was just curious to meet an intriguing little elf who always walked by the side of her window and lightly whispered: “I’ve seen the most beautiful thing in the world. I wish you could see it, too.” He had been her only friend since she did not know anyone but herself and the elf. She thought they were the only two creatures in the world.
One day she decided she wanted to see the most beautiful thing in the world with her own eyes. She waited, and waited for the elf to come. He never came. She did not know why he never passed by again. After a few weeks a fairy appeared in front of her. She was very scared. However, she was amazed by the beauty of that fairy. “I will grant you one wish only one, and nothing more.” She couldn’t understand, but she thought very well what she wanted the most. Finally, she said, “I want to get out of this house.” The fairy’s glow went away; she was all dressed in black. “So, is that what you want the most?” The girl was very confused. The fairy then added, “You will never get out, because you’ve been cursed for ever.” The girl looked at the fairy and asked why. The fairy was no fairy. She was an evil witch who lived in that castle and, in order to free herself, she placed the little girl instead. If the glass ever broke, the girl had to live with nothing but sadness and desperation. She looked happy, she felt happy. However, she wanted to leave and see the most beautiful thing in the world. She also wanted to go play with her friend the elf.
However, when she broke the first window, a swoop of air came towards her and hit her on the chest. She felt emptiness and loneliness. She missed the elf. She wanted him to hold her and tell her everything would be all right. Then se tried to get out the window but it was too small. Then, she broke a bigger window. Another swoop of air rushed in and hit her. She then, felt anger and hatred. She hated that evil witch for cursing her; she hated herself for being so stupid. The window was still too small.
Finally she decided to break part of the wall. She felt very angry and she wanted to break out no matter what. She grabbed her favorite chair, also glass-made. The chair broke. She felt angrier. She kicked the wall. She harmed herself, but it did not hurt as much as it did to feel trapped. She kicked and hit the wall many times. It finally broke. Her hand went clear through the wall. She felt happy, she felt free. She started crying.
She looked around. It was all blood and broken glass. She had hit so hard she had cut herself many times. However, her anger and desire to go out overcame her pain. But now, it was too late. It was too late to go out and run. She felt very weak. She could not move.
She gathered the little strength she had left and walked out. She only managed to give one step out the house. She then fell. She closed her eyes and then saw the most beautiful thing in the world. She saw the sky.
